Learning to effectively check scaffolding, identify imperfections, draw up a correct report of the findings and declare the scaffolding safe or not. The candidate has the necessary knowledge to ensure:.
• The application of measures to prevent persons or objects from falling.

• The application of safety measures to manage risks in changing weather conditions.

• Compliance with conditions regarding permissible loads.

Employees who can effectively check scaffolding (fixed scaffolding, mobile scaffolding, hanging scaffolding, etc.) for safety. The scaffold inspector is deployed by the user/employer at regular intervals to determine whether a scaffold can still be accessed and used safely.

Theory :

  • Recognize hazards and risks
  • Know different types of scaffolding
  • Knowing legislation and standards
  • can describe powers
  • Recognize and name the different parts of a scaffold
  • determine the stability of workplaces
  • be able to calculate taxes on the work floor
  • Know the requirements of passages, access and demarcation
  • Knowing when grounding is needed
  • Know observation, inspection and use of checklists for different types of scaffolding


Practical :

  • Observe standing scaffolding, mobile scaffolding and hanging scaffolding for safe/unsafe conditions depending on the circumstances and loads. All following test terms and points of interest are evaluated
  • Be able to use checklists for inspection upon commissioning and for regular inspections.



  • For scaffolders, the training lasts 16 hours, 2 teaching days of 8 hours each.
  • The content of this training is in accordance with the VCA Register of Risky Tasks (AV-022, Scaffolding Controller)
  • Group size: max 8 people
  • The certificates are valid for 10 years.
  • This training is provided as an open training course or internally in the company.

Learning to use a self-propelled aerial work platform effectively and safely. You'll learn how to move in an industrial environment, how to set up and to move the platform to a certain height, how to carry out work at heights and how to use the emergency controls

Target audience

Employees on a company site, in installations, workshops, warehouses, etc. who have to perform work at heights using a self-propelled aerial work platform (articulating arm or telescope and scissor lift).

Theory :

  • Basic legislation
  • Work permits
  • Safety and traffic rules
  • Daily inspection
  • The different types of drive and construction of an aerial work platform
  • Applying safety regulations
  • Determining and analyzing risks
  • Respond correctly in an emergency


Practical :

  • Mounting and dismounting techniques
  • Using the controls
  • Connecting and disconnecting batteries
  • Procedures, actions and checks when working with a mobile aerial work platform and scissor lift
  • Load and stability
  • Good driving technique: forward and backward, passing, turning and parking
  • Estimating distances, depth and height
  • avoid obstacles
  • Drive safely with other devices in the area




  • For inexperienced drivers, the training lasts 8 hours, one day of lessons.
  • The content of this training is in accordance with the Register of high-risk tasks VCA (IS 005 and AV-003, working with a self-propelled aerial work platform including scissor lift - basic)
  • Group size: max 8 people
  • The certificates are valid for 5 years.
  • This training is provided as an open training course or internally.
